Karen qualified in 1999 with an MSc in Rehabilitation Science from Glasgow Caledonian University. Prior to this she completed a BSc in Sports Science and Music at Surrey University. Karen has extensive experience within many aspects of physiotherapy and sports injuries having worked within the NHS, (Glasgow Royal and Victoria Hospitals), Private Health Sector, (Rosshall and various private clinics), and has been involved within sports at both an Amateur and Professional level, (St Mirren FC, SFA). Karen has specialised in musculoskeletal disorders for 23 years. Karens interests and expertise lie within Sports Injuries, Orthopaedics, Whiplash Associated Disorders, Postural Dysfunctions, Spinal and Peripheral Joint Injuries. Karen has always participated in sports, some to a high level: Netball, rugby, hockey, rowing, swimming, boxing and road running to name a few. Over the years, Karen has established a large network of Orthopaedic Consultants and other Health Professionals to ensure that treatment and the patient journey is always thorough and professional. Karen keeps up to date with her CPD and has attended various courses including: McKenzie, APPI Pilates, Myofacial Release and Trigger Point Therapy, Spinal Manipulations, Thomson Therapy, Acupuncture and FDN, KT Taping and Mulligan Concept.

Caitlin Shadwell

Physiotherapist and Yoga Instructor PH 136389: BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy Areas of Interest: Sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain Caitlin holds a BSc Hons degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has worked in multiple sports settings for teams and professionals over the years as well as experience in a very busy neuromusculoskeletal and orthopaedics private practice in SA. She has a special interest in sports injuries, musculoskeletal conditions and chronic pain. Caitlin believes that any healing requires a focus on the body as a whole. By utilising the neuro biopsychosocial model of care, she takes into account that your mental, emotional, social and physical well being are all interconnected and influence your overall healing. She takes care to provide an individualised approach to treatment and ensures that she does not only offer short term symptom relief but aims to solve the root cause in order to provide long term recovery and inspires clients to reach their highest potential of health and wellness. Caitlin will empower you to take control of your healing through education, exercise intervention and lifestyle modification, in addition to manual therapy techniques. Caitlin is also trained in Dry Needling Level 1 and 2, Comprehensive Taping Solutions and is a qualified yoga instructor.

Lynn Smyth

Physiotherapist PH 51371: BSc Hons Physiotherapy. MCSP: HCPC: AOCP: APPN: McKenzie Therapist Areas of Interest: Shoulder and upper limb: Musculoskeletal conditions: Orthopaedic Conditions: Spinal Pain: Upper and Lower Limb Conditions: Nerve Pain: Sports: Rehabilitation. Lynn graduated in 1996 from Glasgow Caledonian University. She has extensive experience within many aspects of physiotherapy having spent many years within the NHS. She has specialised in musculoskeletal conditions for 26 years. Lynn currently works as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner in orthopaedics within the NHS. She also manages a team of Physiotherapy Specialists within the NHS in Glasgow and works in private practice. Lynn has a vast knowledge of the criteria for many orthopaedic surgeries and the post operative rehabilitation required. Lynn has a keen interest in shoulder rehabilitation and traumatic knee injuries and works closely with Consultants within these areas. Lynn has always been involved in sports, both playing to a high level and working with local and national teams.

Inab Khan

Physiotherapist PH136600 MSc: BSc Areas of Interest: Biomechanical analysis of the lower limb, McKenzie, Joint Mobilisations, Whiplash, MSK Physiotherapy Inab is a versatile physiotherapist who has a strong educational background with a degree in MSc Advanced Physiotherapy Practice from Glasgow Caledonian University. Since her MSc she has gained epxerience working in both the public and private sectors. Inab completed her BSc in India in 2016 and worked at the Lodhi Physio Centre, New Delhi for 3 years managaing MSK, Sport and neurological patients. In 2019, Inab moved to Saudi Arabia where she was awarded the certificate of Professional Classification and Registration Record and became a Specialist Physiotherapist. She then went on to work at the Safa Medical Centre in Saudi Arabia. Her achievements also extend to the research domain of physiotherapy. One of her research pieces was published in the Journal of Back and MSK Physiotherapy in 2018. Inab is registered with the CSP and HPC. Her specialities include lower limb biomechanical analysis, McKenzie, Cyriax, Mulligan, Soft Tissue Manipulation, Massage, Whiplash, Rehabilitation and MSK Physiotherapy.

Ahmed Habib

Physiotherapist PH 81677: BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy Areas of Interest: Ahmed graduated from the Glasgow Caledonian University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 2007. Since graduation he has worked with Ross County and Falkirk football clubs on a full time basis. He has vast experience working within private clinics and also with occupational health companies. Ahmed is currently employed within the NHS and Berkley physiotherapy Clinic. Ahmed is trained in the use of acupuncture, and has numerous postgraduate qualifications in manual therapy. Ahmed is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health Professional Council.

Euan Haughey

Physiotherapist PH147990 BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy Areas of Interest: Stirling University Football Team and the Scottish National University Team. He is currently working towards an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine at the University of Glasgow. Euan graduated from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. He has experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, particularly in sports injuries. Euan has worked with the Stirling University Football Team and the Scottish National University Team, providing care to a significant number of athletes. He is currently working towards an MSc in Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine at the University of Glasgow. This programme includes specialist modules that focus on elite athletes and sports injuries, delivered at Hampden Park National Stadium. Euan is a registered Physiotherapist with the HCPC and CSP and is dedicated to delivering high-quality care to all his patients

Ben Dempster

Physiotherapist HPC: 146239: CSP: 125214 Areas of Interest: Ben is interested in soft tissue injuries, hands-on therapy, sports rehabilitation and aims to combine clinical skill with a performance-focused approach to recovery and prevention. Ben moved to Scotland five years ago to pursue a degree in Physiotherapy, graduating in June 2024. Since then, Ben has built a strong foundation in both the NHS and sports industry. Within the NHS, he has gained experience across orthopaedics, medical, and now in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Additionally, Ben has worked with several sports teams including Giffnock Football Club, Biggar Rugby Club, Motherwell FC Academy, and currently works for Celtic FC Academy. Ben is passionate about all areas of sport with a particular interest in racquet sports, previously representing Ulster at senior level and was part of the Irish development squad in badminton.

Francisco

Sports Massage Therapist (Level 3) Areas of Interest: Francisco is a skilled sports massage therapist, (Level 3), with a strong passion for health, fitness and well being. With a background in fitness, he understands the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle and enjoys helping others do the same. Through his work, Francisco aims to support people in staying active, preventing injury and assisting injury recovery. Originally from Spain, he relocated to the UK several years ago, where he also pursued his passion for sports photography. This unique blend of skills allows him to capture the energy of athletic performance while providing tailored treatments that enable clients to feel their best and achieve their full potential. Francisco is available on Fridays from 1200 and offers 30, 45 and 60 minute appointments. Longer appointments are available by request.
